#RamadanTips – Episode 3: Stand During The Night

You – Tahajjud? I am not even regular with my obligatory prayers! How can I think of Tahajjud?

Tahajjud can transform your life. It is the key to influencing the rest of your day.

If you wake up for tahajjud, you will surely not miss the Fajr prayer. Once the beginning is definite, you will ensure that the rest of the prayers are checked off your list.

Once you become regular, you will sense the transformation in your days and observe confidence building with your obligatory salah’s every day. Tahajjud will become your solace.

◽️ Humaid bin’ Abdur-Rahman narrated, “The Messenger of Allah said: The best prayer one can perform apart from the obligatory prayers is one performed at night.”

◽️ “The dua made at tahajjud is like an arrow which does not miss its target.” – Imam Ash-Shafi’i

✨ Here are some tips for developing the habit of tahajjud.

⚡ Intention is everything! Make an intention to wake up for tahajjud once a month. Once you see the difference and the barakah on that day, you will want to do it more.

⚡ Drink a lot of water, and don’t overeat before bed. A full bladder can get you out of bed at the right time of night.

⚡ Go to bed early. Make dua and remember Allah before you sleep and follow the sunnah of sleeping on your right side.

⚡ Wake up 10 minutes before Fajr and start with two raka’as.

Tahajjud is the best way of forming a direct relationship with Allah SWT. When we start to pray tahajjud, our homes, hearts, and minds will begin to light up.
