#RamadanTips – Episode 7: Strengthen Your Faith
There is nothing that fosters faith in Allah (swt) like a meaningful connection with the Qur’an. Interpret the Qur’an as if it’s revealed to your own heart. Allow it to nurture the faith inside of you.
Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh), said, “Verily, one who does not hold anything from the Qur’an in his heart is like a ruined house.”
As Ramadan glides in, let’s make sure we enhance our connection with the Qur’an today.
If Ramadan is the only time you establish a connection with the Qur’an, you need to reflect upon your faith’s fluctuation! Qur’an should be your companion throughout the year to boost your faith at a healthy pace.
Ponder upon this ayah! Subhan Allah – O mankind! Surely, there has come to you a (heart penetrating) counsel from your Master, and a cure for all those (diseases) which are (hidden) in the chests. And it is guidance and mercy for those who believe. ~ Yunus, 10:57.
Let’s secure the habit of reading the Qur’an daily and strengthen our faith and connection with Allah (swt).
⚡ Add the habit of reading the Qur’an to your night-time rituals.
⚡ Delve into the meanings of the ayat. Examining each Surah one at a time and taking in its actual guidance is a great start. Understanding instead of reading aimlessly – should be the goal!
⚡ Reflect on the translation and how you can benefit from what you have learned.
⚡ Turn every ayah in the Qur’an into a dua. Try it! It’s powerful.
⚡ Maintain notes, so it becomes easy to refer back whenever you want.
Which translations of the Qur’an do you like? Which Arabic text do you prefer to recite from and memorize?
